Registration and scope of your agreement

Creating an account requires a single, affirmative confirmation that you have read and agree to the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy and related data-processing notices that apply to you (including GDPR-aligned notices where relevant), and the rules governing information you may later contribute—including use in aggregated benchmarks others may rely on.

We rely on that confirmation so billing, security, fraud prevention, support, and community features can operate on predictable rules. It is separate from any purely optional preference (such as marketing), which we would collect on its own flow if offered.

Operating the service, community integrity, and leaving

Inside the product you manage profile fields, token purchases and entitlements, and any export or reporting features available on your plan. Published community price information remains as submitted so comparisons stay reliable; when facts change, file a new record rather than altering history.

You may delete your account at any time. We disable the associated login and execute the closure and retention steps described in the Privacy Policy. Certain information may persist where retention is required by law, for fraud prevention or security, or where data already exists only in non-identifiable aggregated form; we retain only what those purposes justify.

Privacy Policy summary

CarsCodeX processes account data (email, username, profile and business fields), vehicle and service records you submit, token and payment metadata, and technical logs needed to operate the service. We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting, Stripe for payments, and—when you opt in via cookie preferences—anonymous analytics to improve performance.

You can review and update profile fields in the product, export data where your plan allows, and close your account when you no longer wish to use the service. Community benchmark records you published remain as filed so comparisons stay reliable; see the Terms summary for retention after closure.

For questions or to exercise privacy rights in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, contact us through Send feedback before escalating to your supervisory authority.

Cookie Policy

Necessary cookies and storage keep you signed in, protect against abuse, and remember essential preferences. They are always active because the product cannot function without them.

Optional analytics cookies and scripts (Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights) help us measure traffic and page performance. They load only after you choose Accept all or enable Analytics in Cookie preferences.

Functional cookies power Google Maps and Places when you use location pickers, address autocomplete, or the community map. Stripe sets cookies when you open token checkout or manage a subscription — treated as necessary for that payment flow.

You can change optional choices at any time from Profile → Settings → Legal & privacy or by adding `?cookie_preferences=1` to any URL while signed in.

When you use Google Maps features (for example business or station autocomplete), Google may set its own cookies under its policies. Those load only when you interact with map-powered fields.

Your rights in practice

  • Access and review

Review the categories of data we hold through your profile and other account screens in the product. Use built-in export tools where available (including structured export for eligible business accounts). For other access questions, contact us through Send feedback.

  • Correct through the product

Update any fields the application permits you to edit. Published community price records remain as filed so benchmarks stay comparable—submit a new record when the underlying facts change.

  • Exit the service and escalate if needed

Closing your account is the primary way to end ongoing processing tied to that login. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority; we ask that you contact us through Send feedback first so we can try to resolve the matter directly.

The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy linked at registration and from your account settings are the controlling agreements. This summary describes how we implement those documents in the product and is updated when they change. Questions after you sign in: Send feedback. Otherwise you can sign in first.
